How to Prepare
Microwave (Quickest):
- Remove eel from vacuum packaging and place on a microwave-safe plate.
- Cover loosely with a damp paper towel.
- Microwave on medium heat for 1β2 minutes until heated through.
Oven / Toaster Oven (Recommended for best texture):
- Preheat oven to 400Β°F (200Β°C).
- Wrap eel loosely in foil and place on a baking sheet.
- Heat for 8β10 minutes until warmed through and glaze is slightly caramelized.
- Optional: Unwrap for the last 2 minutes for a crispier finish.
Pan Heat:
- Place eel skin-side down in a non-stick pan over medium heat.
- Add a splash of water or mirin, cover, and steam-heat for 3β4 minutes.
